Welcome to Brookfield Elementary School!

A message from the Administrative Team for the 2015-16 School Year

We warmly welcome you to the Brookfield Elementary School website!  This window into our wonderful school community is intended to be a helpful resource for all sorts of information, as well as a place to post photos and celebrations of special occasions. We suggest that you bookmark this page for quick reference.  If you do not find what you need, please give us a call and we are happy to help. Further, our school Facebook page is another place for updated information, photos, and announcements (link here?).  “Like” us and you will always be immediately notified with current announcements!

Brookfield Elementary School is excited to announce that we are now a PBIS school community!  PBIS, Positive Behavior Interventions and Systems, is a research-proven philosophy that is focused on intentionally building a positive, student-centered school climate (click on this link for more information: ).  If you are a current parent, you will hear lots more about this over the course of the school year.  We invite your input as we begin this journey and learn together how best to support and nurture every individual throughout our school community!

Our school is a member of the Orange Southwest Supervisory Union.  Together, with our sister schools Braintree Elementary and Randolph Elementary, we work together to ensure the success of our students through shared professional development, curriculum, coaching, and learning resources.  Whether our schools are large or small, we are committed to common values, high quality learning goals, and professional behavior.  This partnership allows each of our schools to thrive, and maintain unique traditions and community connections, while at the same time benefitting from increased collaboration and reduced financial costs.  It is a win-win for each school!

An additional bonus to this collaborative model is that our schools share an administrative team!  Three principals work together to support the needs of students, parents and staff and, at the same time, come to value and understand the unique attributes of each school community. Again, this team approach benefits our schools by ensuring that there is always an administrator available as needed, and we have reduced our financial costs.  Another win-win!

As a team, we truly believe that our entire system is stronger because it is collaborative and working towards common goals for our students.  No school is isolated and every staff member has grade-level colleagues to support their own professional growth, no matter the size of the school.  Together, we are committed to meeting the learning needs of each child.

We are honored to serve the children and families of the Brookfield Elementary School community.  Please get in touch if we can be of help to you.

Your Administrative Team
