Brookfield School Looks to Future

The Brookfield Elementary School will be hosting a Community Future Forum on two Saturday mornings in May and June to discuss the potential ramifications – and opportunities – associated with the passage of Act 46 and the new consolidated Orange Southwest School District.

Brookfield Elementary students have been busy studying and exploring autumn-related activities this fall, including the history of the Pilgrims and the building of Plimoth Plantation. Their efforts recently won them a couple of blue ribbons at the Tunbridge Worlds Fair.

OSSU Elementary Schools Move to Shared Administration Model

Starting July 1, the three elementary schools in the Orange Southwest Supervisory Union will be administered by a team of three principals— Erica McLaughlin and Pat Miller, who have been co-principals at Randolph Elementary, and Susan McKelvie, who served this year as Brookfield’s principal. The change, three years in the planning, comes as Braintree’s longtime principal, Nancy Frenette retires.
