FFA Students to Process Firewood for the Community

The week of February 18 - 26, 2017 has been designated FFA (Future Farmers of America) Week in order to celebrate the FFA, which was founded in 1928.

This year, on Wednesday, February 22, the Central Vermont Chapter of the FFA will celebrate by performing community service. The RTCC chapter received a $400 grant to process firewood for heating assistance for community members who are in need. A log load was purchased with the grant and the students will begin the work of processing the logs into firewood this week. In addition, students would like to invite community volunteers to help stack the firewood on Wednesday, February 22 from 9:30 until 4:30, in the parking lot in back of Randolph Technical Career Center.  The firewood will be distributed with the help of Capstone Community Action.
