Blake knew from the time he was a young child that film and photography would play key roles in defining his career. He grew up in the smalltown of Stockbridge, Vermont, where every spare moment was spent photographing the beauty around him and creating home movies with family and friends. With limited resources that included a used audio recorder and a friend’s camera, Farnham started working during the summers to earn enough to purchase his own equipment. By the time he was twelve years old, he’d saved enough to purchase a Hi8 video camera.
In his junior year of high school, Farnham enrolled in the film program at the Randolph Technical Career Center (RTCC). The following year, he completed the graphics arts program, graduating in 2006. The time spent at RTCC built a foundation and instilled the confidence for Farnham to pursue a film degree at Full Sail University in Orlando Florida where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Film in 2010.
Farnham now resides in Los Angeles, California where he has had the privilege of working with production companies including ESPN, MTV, Walt Disney Studios, Lionsgate Films, Hallmark, CBS, and others. His projects have included more than twenty feature films and over one hundred music videos, commercials, short films, and documentaries.
What’s next for Farnham? All options remain open and only time will tell. Some things are certain. His values and ongoing love of film will drive the journey, he will never underestimate the importance of those early foundational years, and he will remain committed to sharing his experiences in an effort to encourage the pursuit of dreams for young people with similar passions.
As Farnham said in concluding his graduation address to the Class of 2006 at RTCC, "Look for him in the credits..."
