Attendance Matters

Did you know that consistent school attendance is one of the most significant factors in your child's academic success? Research consistently shows a strong link between being present in class and achieving higher grades. Students who miss just 10% of the school year—that's about 18 days, or two days a month—are at a significantly higher risk of lower academic achievement and even dropping out. For instance, studies reveal that students with regular attendance are 1.7 times more likely to achieve proficiency in core subjects like math and reading. By 6th grade, chronic absence is a leading indicator that a student may not graduate high school. Every single day in the classroom is a building block for learning, fostering critical knowledge, social skills, and a sense of belonging that truly helps your child thrive.
